If you don't have internet at home, you've hit your data limit for the month, or you just want to stay connected while on vacation, we offer services for a mobile hotspot request.

Regular Hotspots - 2 week check out period. Can be reserved up to 30 days in advance.

Eligibility

 

Bloomfield residents, 18 years or older, with a valid Bloomfield Public Library card in good standing, are eligible to check out a hotspot. There is a limit of one hotspot or hotspot/device bundle per household at a time, and one hot spot or hotspot/device bundle per household per month. Items may not be held on an account while one is actively checked out on your library card.

 

Terms & Conditions

• The Bloomfield Public Library is not responsible for any liability, damages or expense resulting from use or misuse of the Wi-Fi hotspot, connection of the Wi-Fi hotspot to other devices, or data loss resulting from use of Wi-Fi hotspot.

• Wi-Fi hotspots carry an overdue fee of $5 per day. If lost or damaged, the replacement fee is $100.

• Wi-Fi hotspots will be turned off and wireless service will be terminated if the Wi-Fi hotspot is not returned on the due date.

• The Wi-Fi hotspot must be returned to the Bloomfield Public Library when it is open; it cannot be put into the bookdrop.

• The Bloomfield Public Library reserves the right to refuse service to patrons who abuse equipment or who are repeatedly late in returning electronic devices.

• The Bloomfield Public Library is not responsible for information accessed, obtained or disseminated while using this device. Any actions that lead to criminal prosecution are the responsibility of the user, not the Bloomfield Public Library.
