In the library, ask at the Information Desk for the World Book Encyclopedia. Older volumes of encyclopedias circulate, but keep in mind that for topical information, some of the information in older volumes may be no longer accurate.

• Great Books Online. Internet publisher of literature, reference and verse, unlimited access, full-text, free of charge. Includes fiction and nonfiction. Among the titles are: World Factbook, Roget's Thesaurus, Oxford Shakespeare, Gray's Anatomy, books by H.G. Wells, Tolstoy, etc.
• Bartlett's Quotations. If someone famous said it, you'll probably find it here.

Book Reviews
Book reviews can provide information on certain books, especially for newer popular fiction that may not be covered in more traditional reference material in the library.

• EbscoHost Periodical Database: Input the barcode number from the back of your Bloomfield Public Library card. This database includes many excellent magazine and newspaper articles, many full text on all subjects. Search the title of the book, and add keywords such as "book review" or limit by periodicals that do book reviews such as Publisher's Weekly or Kirkus.
